Intrusion Detection and Prevention & Blue Team (Package 2)

Intrusion Detection and Prevention 

This 4-day training course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of intrusion detection and prevention, including the tools and techniques used to detect, analyze, and respond to network attacks, as well as how to proactively prevent them. The course will cover a range of topics related to intrusion detection and prevention, including network traffic analysis, firewall configuration, security policies, alerting and notification, and incident response.

Blue Team  

This 3-day training course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to build effective cybersecurity defenses as a member of the blue team. The course will cover a range of topics related to defending against cyber attacks, including threat intelligence, network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Intrusion Detection and Prevention 

Participants will learn how to:

1. Analyze network traffic to identify signs of compromise and suspicious activity.
2. Configure and manage firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to proactively prevent attacks.
3. Create and maintain security policies and rules to detect and alert on potential intrusions.
4. Respond to and investigate security incidents, including how to contain, remediate, and recover from attacks.
5. Collaborate effectively with other members of the blue team and IT staff to maintain and improve the security posture of the organization's systems and networks.

Blue Team

Participants will learn how to:

1. Collect, analyze, and apply threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats to their organization's IT systems and networks.
2. Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and secure configurations to protect their organization's assets and data.
3. Respond to cybersecurity incidents, including how to detect, investigate, contain, and recover from security breaches.
4. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses in their organization's IT infrastructure and develop effective remediation strategies.
5. Use security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security technologies to monitor and analyze their organization's security posture.
6. Collaborate effectively with other members of the blue team, as well as with IT staff, management, and external stakeholders.

KU STUDENTS

The course will include a mix of lectures, hands-on exercises, and practical case studies to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of intrusion detection and prevention best practices.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and manage effective intrusion detection and prevention systems for network defense.
