Course Description

This is a hands-on course that combines conceptual understanding and simulation development via a series of models we construct from scratch. These aim to cover most of AnyLogic’s capabilities in a cumulative way and use the three main modeling paradigms that AnyLogic supports: discrete-event simulation, system dynamics, and agent-based modeling.

The course is suitable for individuals from industry and academia who want to gain a strong foundation in simulation and AnyLogic. 

Outline

Day 1

  • Introduction to Multimethod Simulation Modeling (Theory & Demo)
  • Familiarizing the AnyLogic Model Development Environment (Demo)
  • Discrete Event (Process-Centric) Modeling (Theory)
  • Call Center Model (Discrete Event Exercise)
  • Agent-Based Modeling (Theory)

 

Day 2

  • Agent-Based Modelling (Theory)
  • SIR Model.Calibration  ( Exercise)
  • Java Basics for AnyLogic Modelers (Theory)
  • Supply Chain GIS Model (Exercise)

 

Day 3

  • Material Handling Modelling ( Solar Panel Production Line) - Exercise
  • Pedestrian Modeling (Airport) - Excercise
  • Road Traffic Modelling ( Piazza del Colosseo Intersection) - Exercise

 

Requirement:

The participant is advised to bring their own laptop with a mouse, preferably (Windows, Mac, or Linux), operating system.
